JoAnna joined General Electric in 1977 after being graduated Summa Cum Laude from Valparaiso University with a B.S. degree in economics. She completed GE's Financial Management Program at Major Appliance business in Louisville, KY and then joined GE's Corporate Audit Staff. After the Audit Staff, JoAnna progressed through various managerial positions at Aircraft Engines before being named Manager-Operations Analysis at GE Electrical Distribution and Control. While there, she completed her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. She was named to her present position as Director - Investor Relations in 1990.
